Here we have two incredibly old thumb screw snare drums from the collection on Mr. Sticky Wicket. One is a 'Duplex' made in the USA and the other a Hawkes & Son made in England. Never before have we seen so many lugs on 2 snare drums, both of these are fitted with calf skins and certainly have a vintage sound.
This week were looking at a very old and unusual drum made by the 'Pepper Drum Company' in the USA during the late 1800s. This drum has been lovingly restored by 'Sir Alan Buckley,' bringing that lovely Birds Eye Maple shell back to life.
This week we're looking at another Vintage Drum Kit from Simon John's collection. This is a 'Sparkling Silver' Slingerland kit in excellent condition. We are going to be working with Simon again in the near future to bring you some more wonderful Slingerland drums.
Today we are looking at the most incredible Leedy Full Dress Drum Kit which dates from the 1930s. This is surely one of the prettiest antique drum kits from the collection of Mr Sticky Wicket and we had so much fun filming it.

Although it's not known what the A and F stood for, the 1927 catalogue plays on the initials 'A.F.M.' to create the slogan "All Finest Make." This is a wonderful little kit, as it is very portable in design, and is comprised of a 26" X 12" Bass Drum, and a 14" X 4" snare drum.
